Did you win?

I had 35 people report back with all 19 blogs on the tour. The winner of the Kiwi Kiss Purse and cards kit is Cynthia Ferenz. Her favorite project on the tour was #4 on my site with the cut out dogwood blooms.

My share for today is a card I recently created for a workshop. It was quick and easy, yet really hip. It would make a great card for a wedding or anniversary. I had a great time and the gals decided to start up a hostess club. I am so excited about sharing time with them once a month.

Blown Away

I want to just say… Wow! Ever have one of those ahah moments where the Lord just takes your breath away?Well yesterday was one of those days. I huge thank you goes out to each person who visited with us on the tour. Words can hardly do justice to the overwhelming emotion of love and tenderness our home experienced. As I sat at the computer last night and poured over each note and read your awesome words of encouragement I was blown away.

I am thankful for the opportunity to share my gifts and talents with each of you. My hope is the Lord will bless you with wonderful ideas and projects through my willingness to serve him in all I do. He sure has blessed me through each of you!

A dear friend needed a birthday card yesterday for her mother-in-law. She loves pink. This is the sweet card I created to share with her today. Hope you enjoy this little flower pot blooming with love.

My featured technique this month was watercoloring with the Aqua Painter brush. It is easy to use and loads of fun. I have been learning right alongside my wonderful stamping friends. I don’t know who taught who this month. Can you tell I am still learning?

The second project features the cracked glass technique. This technique is one of my favorites. It requires a little extra time, but so worth the effort. I created several of these for Anniversary cards this month. The card follows the MOJO Monday Sketch # 83. Hope you enjoy!

My Creative Days Scrapbooking

april-scrapbook-template

In today’s post I would like to share this scrapbook page and the template for the scrapbooking classes I teach in my home each month. The page was created with pictures of my granddaughter Ashley. We shared an Easter egg hunt in our backyard on Sunday, where I was able to capture these wonderful pictures.

When I share my creations with others, I hear time and time again, “I am not creative and could never do that.” The truth is we are all creative. God’s word shares we were created in his image. One of God’s attributes is to create. So why would he not equip us with the same ability? Now granted, some of us have more creativity than others, but we all possess creativity in our make up.

I find that creativity flows freely through me when I use a map as a guide. My spiritual map is the Bible, and my creative map is the template. Today’s page began with the template pictured here. All of creation began with a plan. God’s plan from the beginning was to have a relationship with me. From the beginning, I was chosen and loved by the great “I am”.

I emailed this template to each of my class participants at the beginning of the month. They each know what direction our class will follow, how many pictures needed, their size, the overall theme, a list of supplies, and a technique that will be taught. The template offers an opportunity to prepare for the lesson. Reaching my desired destination in life is found in my willingness to prepare. Often the process begins with the simple belief that with God all things are possible. Belief is vital to accomplishing any task in this life or the one thereafter.

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will break down the page and teach you how to create one of your own. Trusting your day will be filled with a little creativity of your own.

MOJO82/LNS Challenge

Today’s post rises to the occasion and wipes two challenges off my list. I always enjoy marking the things off the list as much as I do adding them. It creates a sense of accomplishment. It brings me great joy to know my creative days inspire others. The challenge on Late Night Stampers was to create a card or project using 3-D flowers. This beautiful flower was made using the hearts set of sizzlits dies and the heart to heart punch. Hope you will try one yourself!

flower-romance

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Love You Much
Paper: Chocolate Chip 4 1/4 x 11, 2 5/8 x 2 5/8, 2 3/8 x 2 3/8; Pink Pirouette 4 x 5.5, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2; Bella Birds 3 7/8 x 5 3/8
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Eyelet Border & Heart to Heart Punches, Corduroy Buttons, Paper Snips, Pastel brads, Sponge Daubers, Large Glue dots

To make the flower cut 4 tall hearts, 4 wide hearts and punch 4 tall hearts. Sponge the edges of each heart with Chocolate Chip on front and back. Crumple each heart several times. Punch a hole in the bottom of each heart with the piercing tool. Thread a brad through each hole beginning with the punched hearts, then the tall hearts, and finally the wide hearts. Spread the hearts in a circle to form the flower. Thread the coruroy button with a small strip of paper. Tie in knot and trim ends. Attach to the flower center with a large glue dot. The card layout followed the MOJO Monday sketch #82.

I enjoy creating projects using a map, the card comes together so easily. When I teach my scrapbook classes I always design using a scrap map. Watch for tomorrow’s post. I will put up this month’s map and the page I created. Hope you have fun stamping today!

LNS Color Challenge

This week has been full of creating. This one is for the challenge at Late Night Stampers. It is an awesome yahoo group I belong to. Each week there is a challenge offered to spark creativity. This week it was a color challenge using Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, and Sahara Sand. I used a card from Chat Wszelaki of a recent WOW swap as inspiration.

The supplies were from the new mini. I have been so ready to dive in and start using them more. There are so many great sets this year. I had a hard time choosing a favorite. Dreaming my sales would allow me to have one of each.
