Heartfelt Daisy Valentine

This is a change up from the Valentine cards I’ve been doing lately. I’ve finished setting up things for my classes and just wanted to work on a little something different. The flowering elements were brought to life by spritzing the cardstock with water after punching and die cutting. I then wadded them up and carefully unfolded and waited till they dried. The paper stiffens back up after drying and holds the crinkled shape. I then began gluing the pieces together to form this little bouquet attached to the heart.

You’d want to hand deliver this sweet card or mail in a padded envelope. This one sports a standard rosette with a medallion made using the Layering Circles Dies. The From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper makes designing cards a breeze. Don’t you think the gals are going to have a great time at my upcoming classes?

Heart Rosette Box and Note Cards

This project is a no stamping one that’s quick and easy with the Heart Punch Pack and the From My Heart Specialty DSP. Did you get a look at that heart shaped rosette on the top of the box? What a WOW! I stumbled on the directions from Sheshe Crafts. I made my own template because I’m a devoted Stampin’ Up follower but I loved her idea.

The heart shaped rosette is attached to the top of a Mini Pizza Box perfect for 3″ x 3″ note cards. You could mix and match the From My Heart Specialty DSP to your hearts’ content.

The heart doilies are a match for the 3″ x 3″ cards with the punched DSP hearts.

For the second two, I added the textured background using the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder and punched the hearts using the Heart Punch Pack.

For the final pair, I used From my Heart Specialty DSP for the background and more of those hearts from the Heart Punch Pack.

These cards are great for tucking into a lunchbox, punched and hung on a gift bag, hiding under a pillow, taped to the bathroom mirror or anywhere you want to share love with your special someone. Use them all week long leading up to Valentine’s Day.

Heartfelt Box

I’m leading a table of gals for Believing Jesus by Lisa Harper. I’ve created this sweet little box to share with each gal the first day of class to help them know they are loved and the importance of making declarations over their life. We’ll begin studying together on Thursday, January 9, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Joy Bible Study.

After Jesus ascended into heaven, the disciples were required to risk everything to establish a new community that would change the future world. After all these years later, it remains the same.

I created the tag by typing the info and setting the Real Red matching color using the Hex Value Color Chart and then die cutting with the new Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The box is triangular shaped and works great for keeping the message at the fingertips of the receiver because it serves as an easel. I found the directions for putting it together at Chick’ n Scratch with Angie Juda. The directions can be found by following this link. I used a magnetic closure and put 7 Dove chocolates in the box, one for every day of the week until we get together again the next Thursday. Heartfelt Valentine

Since Christmas is now behind us, I’ve been working on projects for a couple of Valentine classes. The new From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper is beautiful and contains images that can be punched for easy to put together cards for a beginner. The treat holder contains a Ghirardelli chocolate and is made using a 3.5 x 5.5 piece of dsp  sealed on the sides with tear and tape.
