Watercolor Peace

This is Day 20 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. We are 2/3 of the way through the challenge, we are definitely on the down hill slide. It’s a Technique Challenge using Watercoloring for today. I watercolored a piece of Fluid 100 paper with Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Old Olive. After it dried I die cut the trees from the Pine Woods Dies. I really like how it turned out. Another one into my stash for the holidays.

Poinsettia Color Challenge

 

It is Day 18 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. We are doing a color challenge today of Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand. I just love the dies in the Poinsettia Petals Suite, it’s so easy to put together a stunning blossom in just a snap. I inked up my embossing folder and used Wink of Stella to create this awesome background. Another Christmas card added to my collection!

Cool Yule

It’s the half way point of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. Today is Scrooges Dream, we are to make an Anti-Christmas card for that person who hates Christmas. Dashing Deer

Today is the 13th day of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. The theme today is Fairy Tail Christmas, which is about creating a card to include some type of animal image. I didn’t have a current set with an animal image so I pulled out a retired favorite Dashing Deer. Stitched Triangle Cheer

We’ve reached the 12th day of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. Recently, I decided to take part in the Crafty Carrot Collective to learn and grow as a designer. Susan Wong taught a wonderful technique this week, how to create a starry night sky. I just had to give it a try. My stars were done by loading the Water Painter up with Whisper White Craft ink and then tapping on the barrel with a pair of scissors. This flicked the white ink across the paper in a random pattern and sure enough it looked like snow falling. How do you think I did for my first go at this?
