Swap Card

This is a card created for a WOW Swap on Splitcoast. It is the first one I have entered. I used my new goodies from the Spring Mini catalog. The Walk in the Park designer paper is lovely. I’m sure you’ll be seeing this again. The mini items will be available April 1. Be sure and order yours online or send me an email. Just click the website and hit the “shop now” button. Well here it is…

Gift Set Class

Just a peek at what you missed. We had a great time at the card making class last night. Wish you had been there! The demo set I created was sent to my Mom in Georgia for her birthday on Friday. Sure wish we could spend the day together. We are planning a trip in May, so we will have to wait patiently. The set included 4 cards and a gift box, and was created using the Tea Party designer paper. It is a beautiful spring paper and would make great Easter or Mother’s Day cards.

Birthday for the Birds

Well another week off to a great start. Having fun with the Mojo Monday sketch again. Birthday cards are always in need so I took advantage of the opportunity to create a few more today. Turning a year older can be for the birds. Wouldn’t it be great to remain young? I guess we will always be young at heart. Well hope you enjoy…

Chick ‘n Eggs

I have been busy today creating goodies for the widows at our church. One of the Bible Fellowship classes delivers Easter baskets to the shut ins each year. The baskets contain all kinds of useful items. I decided to make and donate a treat to the baskets. We will also be creating this jewel in the Easter treat class the first of April.

The class features “A Good Egg” stamp set. We will use this set to create two Easter cards, the treat bag, and an Easter basket. The class includes all instructions and supplies to complete your projects. They would make great gifts to share this Easter season. Email me if you are interested and I will hook you up with all the details.

Well here is the chick and her eggs…

Singing Birds

I awoke this morning to the singing of birds. It might have something to do with the fact that I put out my bird feeder yesterday and filled it with bird seed. It doesn’t take the birds long to find it. They were singing a thank you melody. I had my cup of coffee and watched the red birds feeding. Life doesn’t get much better.

I am sending out Birthday and Anniversary cards for our Bible Fellowship class and thought I would create a few anniversary ones this morning. The birds inspired me to break out the “A Little Birdie Told Me” set. It is so cute and I haven’t used it in a while. This card is a little bigger. It fits in the large envelopes from Stampin Up.

Here they are singing a melody for you…

The inside reads “It’s time to Celebrate, Happy Anniversary”. The scallop circle was cut out with the Big Shot using the Scallop Circle #2 die, and the Circle Scissors tool. The designer paper was Sweet Always. The gal was covered in dazzling diamonds. Wouldn’t you just sparkle if your fellow brought you flowers for your anniversary?

Hope your day is filled with singing.

Doing the Color Challenge

Today has been a crafty Tuesday. There is nothing better than stamping with a wonderful friend. We spent the morning creating sympathy cards. I then spent the afternoon doing the Color Challenge #210 on SCS for the first time. I can always use Birthday cards.

I wasn’t quite sure of the colors at first. I wouldn’t have chosen this one on my own. Although, I do like how it turned out. I guess that is what a challenge is all about, stretching your creative juices. Hope you enjoy…

Celebrating Success

Wow! The card making event for the soldiers this weekend was a blast. We completed over 1000 cards. I packaged them up this weekend and they are on their way to Martie Shea. Each card included an added bonus… a note to the soldier thanking them for their service to our country and a verse of scripture.

When all the cards were finished, the group circled around them and prayed. We asked for a safe arrival for each card, the soldier would experience a heart filled with love, wisdom and knowledge to share a timely message with their loved one, and a safe passage back to their families. I was left speechless by the experience of the unsurpassing love that filled the room on Saturday. You just had to be there!

Each person made such a difference in my life. I was thankful for the opportunity to meet new friends, and spend a little time with a few cherished ones. Today’s card goes out to each one that attended the event. My hats off to each of you! May you be blessed in all you do for others.

Stampin for the Soldiers #6

Here’s today post for the soldier project. All of the cards are now designed, cut, and prepared for Saturday. Whew!!

Thanks goes out to several wonderful stampin’ friends. My sister line, Sabrina Earls was a great help with the details for the final card. Evelyn Reedy helped with several cards. She is a whiz with the Big Shot. She had flowers spitting out by the hundreds. She can also cut ribbon and stamp like a pro! This was her first event and she jumped right in with so much enthusiasm and energy. She was a lot of fun! I could not have done this without my daughter lines Gay Morris and Judy Greene. They have been awesome! Gay has spent many hours right by my side, praying, cutting, stamping, laughing and sharing loads of cheer. We are all looking forward to the weekend with anticipation for a great outpouring of love and kindness through this endeavor as we touch lives with a simple handmade card. We hope you will join us in the effort. Well here is the next one…

Creating with MOJO77

Today’s post uses the MOJO77 card sketch. The weather here in Clemmons, NC is beautiful. Looks like a warm spring day. If I didn’t have so much to do for the card making event this weekend I would be out playing. Hope the weather holds out for me. I should be ready in a couple of days.

Well here’s today’s creation…

mojo77

This one begins with a Barely Banana base. The next layer is Tea Party and Sweet Always trimmed with Regal Rose. The focal flower is from Petal Pizzazz and is stamped in Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and is stamped in Basic Black. The ribbon is So Saffron from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

Wishing you a blessed week full of sunshine and a warm breeze on your face.
