Sending Love Valentine

Sketch Challenges are my favorite. This one follows an old sketch challenge SC252 over at Splitcoaststampers. Every Wednesday Roxie posts a new sketch. Don’t you want to play along?

Creative Tips:

1. Holiday Best, a hostess exclusive set is available to you for hosting a workshop. You can be a hostess for a $150.00 order or share the catalog with friends for a virtual workshop.

2. The background for the stamped image was created using textured Very Vanilla Card Stock and the Backgrounds 1 Texturz plates with the Big Shot.

3. Create beautiful watercolor images with ease using Stampin’ Up’s Aqua Painter and matching Classic Inks.

4. The Sending Love Specialty Designer Paper includes 12 different patterns and each sheet contains one pattern filled with glittered images.

5. Any feminine card wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of ribbon. The new Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon offers just the right touch. With the release of the 2010 Occasions Mini catalog, January 5, Stampin’ Up’s satin ribbon is available in 10 coordinating colors.

Pals Paper Arts 22

The gals over at Pals Paper Arts are hosting a simple sketch challenge this week. Today is the last day to get your creative beauty linked up. Will you play along with me?

Creative Tips:

1. New Brads! Dress up your projects with epoxy brads available in two sizes and three color assortments. They coordinate beautifully with the Sending Love Designer Paper. The heart added just the right finishing touch.

2. More hearts to choose from! The new stamp set I {Heart} Hearts has 10 new hearts. Choosing the right heart just got a little harder!

3. Any heart can be easily converted to a flower by simply beginning in the middle, and stamping the pointed end of the heart in a circle. The flower matches the new Sending Love Specialty Designer Paper. Hearts and polka dots happen to be my favorites.

4. Real Red Satin Ribbon to dress up your Valentine projects this year. It is also available in 9 yummy colors.

Take 2 on the Last Christmas Class

This is my take on the regional project from Stampin’ Up. I had fun resizing and working with the Berry Christmas set. The little bird image is just the cutest.
The box was resized to 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. The tags measured 2″ x 3″. We created 5 tags with ties and decorated the box to match.

The box would be just the right size for a pair of earrings. Here’s a close up of the tags and open box. Need measurements to make one of your own, just email me.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Berry Christmas
Paper: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Mistletoe Ribbon, Gold Cord, Scallop and 1″ Circle Punches, Eyelets, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Merry Christmas,

Dacia Smith
