Today’s post follows the MOJO92 sketch and was created for an upcoming birthday of a friend. The new Dusty Durango was paired with Not Quite Navy for a great guy card. Nothing like a mix of a little old and new to create a striking card. Hope you will get your MOJO going and play along.
To create this card begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base of Basic Black. The next layer uses a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Dusty Durango and a 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Urban Garden. The seam was wrapped with the Black Ribbon from the Ribbon Originals collection. The main image was stamped in Black Stazon on watercolor paper. Color was applied with a Aqua Painter in Not Quite Navy, Basic Gray, Basic Black, and Dusty Durango. Highlighted the windows, crome, and hearts with Crystal Effects, and the border was made using the scallop punch. The main image measures 2 3/8″ x 3 1/2″ and the circle was punched with the 1″ round punch. The finishing touch was done with the heart to heart punch in the lower right corner.Card Recipe: Stamps: Loads of Love Cardstock: Basic Black, Dusty Durango, Urban Garden, Not Quite Navy, Watercolor Paper, Urban Garden DP Ink: Black Stazon, Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Dusty Durango Accessories: Ribbon Originals, Scallop, Heart to Heart, and 1″ circle punches, Aqua Painter, Circle Scissors Plus, Crystal Effects, Stamp-a-ma-Jig
